Wedding Time

I'm sandwiched between the Bride & Groom!

Very sorry about the lack of posts - life has been a bit crazy. I was quite unwell and ended up back in hospital, but I am doing much better and have just spent the past week in Cornwall & Somerset at one of my dearest friends weddings. Grania is more like a sister to me and Ruaidhri has also become such a dear friend over the years. Seeing them marry was so special. I was very involved in the wedding and, of course, photographing it. I photographed it along with my best friend, Claire, who did an awesome job tolerating my rather stressful 'Sarah in proper photographer mode' AND taking some fantastic shots, she was brilliant! She has made a blog post about the wedding, so go take a look please. My parents were also guests and we - along with the rest of the Bridal party - stayed in the most adorable 'village' of cottages in the middle of the stunning countryside of Somerset/Exmoor National Park. It had tennis courts (Claire and I did have a go), a swimming pool and Shetland Ponies (yes, really).
After the wedding I headed down to Port Isaac, Cornwall for a few days break to relax (although it did involve a lot of hill climbing and walking for miles and miles). It was equally as stunning and I fell in love with all the quaint shops, stunning scenery and beautiful architecture.

Very rarely to never do I post my client work on this blog. It is something I've been saying I will do for some time, but I never get around to sorting out a disclaimer forms and all that jazz. However, with Grania being my surrogate big sister and all that, she's obviously letting me post the photos as much as I like - so I shall be doing just that! Not only that but I did also take plenty of photos in Cornwall (all with the Fuji X100 - I know I go on but....what a camera). So, I promise I'll make up for the lack of blogging with a massive photo overload to come.

Thank you Grania, Ruaidhri, Claire, Mum, Dad and everyone else who made the past week an amazing and memorable one. Now watch this space for the photos!

That's a wonderful photograph. Grania looks so beautiful, but, then again, she always does.

Michelle - I know, doesn't she? She was an absolutely stunning bride.

Their wedding hall is so huge and it's also vintage inspired. They look so perfect together and it made me reminisce our wedding held at the Long Island wedding halls. It was as perfect as this and I can't help but smile every time I remember it.
