The Museum (Lots and Lots of Photos)

When I was a child my absolute favourite place to spend the day was the Ulster Museum and Botanical Gardens in Belfast. Luckily, it was only a 15 minute drive from my house, so my Dad would take my brother and I there all the time. So in the nostalgic spirit of revisiting places that were a big part of my life in Belfast, I visited the museum earlier this week. It was completely refurbished in 2009 so it doesn't look anything like it did when I was a kid, but the exhibitions are exactly the same (of course with some new bits and pieces).

It also gave me a chance to use my new X100 a bit more. My goodness, I am so impressed. This little wonder of a camera is absolutely amazing. It makes life so easy to carry around such a small yet powerful camera. You don't need to worry about Photoshop to brighten up the photos, just shoot and upload. So easy, so sharp.

The 'Mummy', Takabuti, is still there. When I was a child and I would visit with either my brother and cousins or on school trips, we would be terrified to go near this display. We would dare one another to go up to the glass case and look at the corpse. Only the really brave kids ever got close.

I walked for six hours non-stop so my feet were killing me!

The weather here has been fantastic all week. I've never seen weather like it at this time of the year before. It's been really warm and sunny all day, every day. So I took a really good walk around the city and soaked in the atmosphere. Anytime the weather is good in Belfast, everyone is out on the streets, it's buzzing.
